For several weeks before Easter 5th and 6th Class children took part in after school soccer training. From these sessions two teams were chosen to play for our school.

In May, we invited teams from Kildangan NS, Nenagh CBS and St. Mary’s to play a friendly blitz in Carrig. Everyone enjoyed the day and there were plenty of excellent skills on display.

Last week we made the short trip into Brickfields for a blitz organised by Nenagh CBS involving six schools.

The standard was high and our boys team faced some very tough competition in their group. They were unlucky to be beaten 3-2 by Corville in their final.

Our girls team had an unbeaten run to their final where they put in an excellent performance to win the competition!

Well done to both teams who worked very hard in training and were a credit to our school at both blitzes.
Thanks to the three schools who travelled to Carrig in May and to Nenagh CBS & Nenagh AFC for hosting a great blitz last week.
