Mrs Keogh’s Junior infants… Halloween to Christmas 🎄

We have been working super hard in Junior infants since the Halloween holidays. We are flying it with our letters and sounds. We are writing such hard words and when we were able to write the words “rocky” and “road” teacher decided we would take a little break and we could make rocky road…

We learned all about winter and in science we created a snowstorm in a jar…

We also created bird feeders to feed the little birds in winter…

We thoroughly enjoyed yoga on a Friday …

And we embarked on a selection on Christmas themed exercises and games as part of our Active Schools campaign. We completed Christmas relays, made snow angels on the ground and threw snowballs at Frosty…

Mrs Maloney and the Parents Council organized for us to have the panto “Little Red Riding Hood” streamed straight into our classroom. It was amazing and so funny…

As Christmas got closer, we turned into Santa’s little helpers and helped him wrap presents…

We did lots of Christmas art…

And sang Christmas songs with the whole school in the playground…

We were super excited for our Christmas holidays and wore our Christmas jumpers on the day of our holidays to really get us ready for Christmas.

2021 was a very busy one for us in Junior Infants. Teacher is so proud of us and all the hard work we have done, and the strides we have made with our reading and writing and our numbers. We can’t wait to come back in the new year to see what teacher has in store for us !!!
