3rd class have had a super start back to school this year! Our teachers Ms Bergin & Ms Byrne are so proud of the wonderful work we’ve been completing and we’ve all been having lots of fun these last few months. Check out some of the activities we’ve been upto:
We learned about Irish myths and legends, the Stone Age and Space in SESE. We also looked at bridges and completed a challenge of creating a bridge that could hold a weight using only paper and books!
We‘ve been very busy in our English, Gaeilge and Maths work too. We had great fun learning about 3D shapes and have been working hard at our sentence work in Gaeilge. The class has written some fantastic recounts, recipes for gruesome potions and instructions for carving pumpkins. We had great fun getting messy in the process 🎃
We celebrated Halloween by dressing up in spooky costumes, creating some brilliant art and completing the Puking Pumpkin experiment!
We’ve created some really lovely artwork in the last couple of months which you can see below. We had a lovely visit from Heritage Schools where we learned to weave. The class also finally got to celebrate a very special day when they made their First Holy Communion. Didn’t we all look amazing? 😎
We’ve had such a great start to 3rd class and our teachers are looking forward to a fantastic year with such a super bunch! Maith sibh Rang a Trí! 🤩👏🏼
