Spring in Senior Infants!

Though the term has been relatively short in the classroom, Senior Infants did trojan work online for seven weeks. From making bird feeders to building towers, learning about France to enjoying a snow day, solving daily riddles to performing the Haka, listening to beautiful stories to creating laundry art; the list is endless really!!

Upon our return to school, we got busy in preparation for Lá le Pádraig, Mother’s Day and Easter. We had a picnic outside in the beautiful weather and spent lots of time chatting, playing and getting to know each other again! Maths saw us looking at Sequencing and Time, while Gaeilge saw us learning a scéal for ‘Seachtain na Gaeilge’. We have also started Literacy Lift Off (LLO) in the past few weeks; this programme gives each child an amazing opportunity to work in small groups when focusing on reading, phonics, writing and oral language – we thank Mrs. O’ Halloran, Mrs. Maloney and Ms. Burke for all of their help and work with LLO daily.

We recently had a Story writing competition and an Easter colouring competition in Seniors; the standard was very high so well done to everybody for all the hard work!

Beannachtaí na Cásca oraibh go léir! Enjoy the break and the fine weather!
