Autumn in Senior Infants!

Can I just begin by saying that the Senior Infants in Carrig N.S. have been absolutely amazing over the past few weeks! Masks, visors, pods, hand sanitizer; they have taken everything in their stride, and what a super bunch of kids they really are!

We’ve got re-acquainted with our friends, learned lots, had fun and are really enjoying being back in the classroom after a long break. Topics like ‘Bia’ in Gaeilge, ‘The Senses’ in Science, ‘Patterns’ in Maths and ‘Halloween’ in Aistear were huge hits in our classroom, along with a Drama lesson based on “Room on the Broom” and the children acting like Archaeologists in SESE; two great lessons taught by our student teacher, Miss O’ Brien.

Stories, Go Noodle and Chair Yoga have been a huge part of life in our classroom since September, as have games, poems, chat and discussion. Our counting has improved hugely, and we are giving cursive writing our best shot! Below are some pictures showing what we’ve been up to since our return to School.

Happy Halloween from Everybody in Senior Infants!
