January in rang a ceathair

We have been busy in 4th class this January. We studied Early Christian Ireland in History and created group projects on different topics. During our Art lessons, we created old monastic settlements and The Book of Kells using old recyclable items.

We decorated our Celtic Initials to keep with the Irish theme.

We went on a Maths trail while studying measurement, we measured various parts of the school , the hall and the astro and calculated the perimeter of each. We used measuring tapes, metre sticks and the trundle wheel.

During Science, we have  been studying rocks, the types of rocks and their characteristics. We tested what happened to the different types of rocks when we added vinegar, water and lemon juice to each of the samples.
