Last Wednesday, 3rd and 4th class travelled to Bunratty castle on the school tour. The classes got to explore the folk park and the castle grounds. We especially loved having a look around the old school house, the castle’s dungeon and climbing to the top of the castle towers! We met a lovely fiddler in the folk park and treated some tourists to ‘The Rattlin Bog’ and some Irish dancing. Both classes learned lots about the history of the castle and life long ago. 🏰
The children also got to go zorbing and try out archery in the castle grounds. Everybody loved both activities – we all had a big laugh during zorbing! 😄🏹
To top off such a super day, we stopped in Funworld and played bowling. We got to use all ten lanes and had so much fun playing with our classmates. We certainly have some competitive children – so many of us scored strikes! 🎳
We had such an amazing day and the children were all so well behaved and a pleasure to take on the tour. We’re now all in countdown mode for the summer holidays! 😄☀️ Maith sibh Rang a Trí agus Rang a Ceathair!
