Two teams from Carrig NS took part in the SPAR FAI 5 a side soccer competition in Ballymackey this week.

The girls were first up and they topped their group of 5 teams with three wins and one draw, putting them through to the final against Corville NS. Although the Carrig girls put in an excellent performance, Corville won 2-0 to progress to County finals.

On Friday the boys were in a group of four teams and, after winning well in their first two games, they also played Corville NS.  Again the Roscrea team came out on top winning by a narrow margin of 2-1 and denying Carrig a place in the final.

Well done to all of our soccer players who represented the school so well both on and off the pitch.
